🧩 About the Kits

Q: What kinds of kits do you offer?
We offer curated kits designed for playful learning — from STEM activities and pretend play to early literacy, time-telling, and creative construction. Each kit includes everything you need to dive right in, plus simple instructions and ideas for extended exploration.

Q: What ages are the kits designed for?
Currently most kits are designed for ages 3–10, but some work well for toddlers or older kids too. Each listing includes a recommended age range. We are expanding our library every week and hope to soon reach kids 3 - 12th grade. Check back and follow us on our socials as we post when new kits arrive. 

Q: What’s included in each kit?
Each kit comes with high-quality toys or tools, a book of resources for items as well as learning ideas to help facilitate use, and sometimes bonus materials like books and consumable activities like crafts. Everything is cleaned and inspected between rentals.

📦 The Rental Process

Q: How does the rental process work?
Browse our kits, reserve one online, and pick it up on your selected date. Return it a week later (or renew if available). It’s like a library, but for hands-on learning fun.

Q: How long can I keep a kit?
Kits are rented for one week at a time. You can extend your rental if no one else is waiting.

Q: How do I pick up and return my kit?
Pick-up and drop-off happen at our local hub partners. We are partnering with PlayPalz Indoor Playground in Chattanooga as a central point to pick up and drop off your kit. Just tell them at the front desk you are here to pick up your Pieces of Learning Kit. They are also offering $2 off admission if you want to stay and play. 

We also offer door drop off and pick up for a $10 fee. 

Q: Can I reserve multiple kits at once?
Yes! Just make sure each kit is available for the same rental window, and add them all to your cart.

🧼 Safety & Cleanliness

Q: Are the kits clean and safe?
Yes! Every kit is thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and checked for damage between uses. We take safety seriously so you can play worry-free. We use Force of Nature to clean our kit as it is non-toxic but effective at killing 99.9% of germs. 

Q: What if something gets broken or lost?
We understand that accidents happen. Most kits include a grace for small pieces. If a major part is missing or damaged, we’ll work with you on a fair replacement cost. Please reach out as soon as it happens so we can work on replacements before the kit needs to be checked out again.

💳 Pricing & Policies

Q: How much does it cost to rent a kit?
Most kits rent for $10–$25 per week, depending on size and contents. Check each listing for exact pricing. We value the rental of each kit or tool at 10% of their retail value. If the kit costs $25 per week that means there are $250 worth of items in the kit to enjoy.

Q: Do I need to be a teacher to use these kits?
Not at all! The kits are designed to be fun and easy for parents and kids to explore together — no teaching background required. Each kit comes with a book of resources and learning ideas to help get your family started. 

Q: Will my child actually learn from these kits?
Yes! Each kit is built around core skills like problem-solving, storytelling, spatial awareness, and fine motor development. But kids just think they’re playing.
